Prophetic Voice Title: Why Is Complaining Harmful?
There is so many people that complain and argue. They proclaim to be a child of God and yet there is no fruit. I see this in churches that we have visit. People complaining about the Pastor, the music and others that attend the church.
SAINTS: Instead of complaining, ask God for wisdom and direction. When I am frustrated I immediately seek the Lord. And as soon as I finish praying I get an inner peace, even if the issue is not resolved, I know God is working on my behalf. It does work!
“O My Children, Why are you so bitter? When you argue and complain, and you don’t try to resolve the issue, you turn bitter. You turn bitter to your family and everyone you come in contact with. You might not realize your expressions to others but they see it. If they try to approach you about it you get angry. Many think it is not them and blame it on others. You feel they look at you in a wrong way or condemn you. Even though that never happened, you feel that way. You feel that way because when anger sets in, it controls your mind. Your mind controls you instead of you controlling your mind.
There are people that go to church not to hear the message, but to be there with friends or hear the music. They enjoy the music; lift up their hands in praise and yet don’t pay attention to the message. After church they meet with others and gossip about the pastor, and others that attend. Than at home they argue with their spouse and children. Before they know it they become bitter. They don’t even realize what is happening to them.
Do they talk to Me? No! They let the bitterness continue. Before they know it, they shut everyone out of their life.
Don’t you realize the enemy wants to put you in a compliancy mind? You have a choice to make. You either seek guidance from a godly person that will pray with you and help you come back to Me, or you can stay in your situation and drift away, says the Lord.”
Philippians 2:14-15 “Do everything without complaining and arguing. So that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God; shining like bright light in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
James 3:2-10 “Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth.. Surely. my brothers and sisters, this is not right.”
