Prophetic Voice Title: How Do You Evaluate Sermons and Teachings?
The only way to discern true sermons and teachings is being in the Word. If you don’t pick up your Bible and study God’s Word; it is easy to belief false doctrine. I remember hearing a Pastor say: “It’s okay if you go to a bar and have a drink or two. God knows your heart, He knows that you will not conform to the worlds standards.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
SAINTS: Be a shining light in this dark world, and let your light conform people to God, then you be conformed to the world standards.
“My Dear Children do you believe I am coming soon? The only way to know I am coming soon is for you to be in My word. When I was on Mount Olive I told My children: ‘You don’t know the day or hour the Son of Man will come.’ If you do not study My word you will not know if a sermon you hear is true or not. There are many false teachers. The false teachers are working over-time, since they know I am coming soon. The more they can persuade you to believe their doctrine, the farther away you will be from Me. This is not the time for you to be lazy; and say; ‘I am too busy I don’t have time to read my Bible.’ That is the downfall for many. They are too busy because they have meetings or have to take their children to their activities, or they are working late to make more money; always an excuse. When they come home they are too tied to even acknowledge Me. What happen to prioritizing? What would happen if I told you I am too busy answering other request and I don’t have time for you? If I did that, you would perish! Remember: I am the one that created you. I am the one that created the world, so you can enjoy what I created. I do expect you to acknowledge Me first, says the Lord.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.”
Joshua 1:8 “Study this Book of instruction continually. Meditate day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”
Accts 17:11-13 “And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thesalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men. But when some Jews in Thesalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God in Berea, they went there and stirred up trouble.”
Jeremiah 29:8-9 “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: Do not let your prophets and fortune-tellers who are with you in the land of Babylon trick you. Do not listen to their dreams, because they are telling you lies in My name. I have not send them, says the Lord.”
Matthew 24:40-42 “Two men will be working in the field, one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour at the mill, one will be taken, the other left. So, you too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.”
